Every pearl in our collection follows a meticulous journey from nucleation to harvest, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.
Nucleation & Implantation
Skilled technicians carefully implant a nucleus bead and mantle tissue into mature oysters. This delicate surgical procedure determines the eventual size, shape, and quality of the pearl. Only healthy, mature oysters are selected, and the process is performed under strict sanitary conditions.
Cultivation & Monitoring
Oysters are returned to the water and suspended in nutrient-rich environments for 18 months to 4 years. Farm technicians regularly monitor water quality, temperature, and oyster health. The oysters are turned periodically to encourage even nacre deposition and round shape formation.
Harvesting & Sorting
At harvest, oysters are carefully opened and pearls are extracted. Each pearl is washed, dried, and pre-sorted by size. Rough sorting separates pearls by basic quality tiers, with only the top grades advancing to detailed grading. Post-harvest oysters are evaluated for potential second-use cultivation.
Grading & Matching
Expert graders evaluate each pearl for luster, surface quality, shape, color, and nacre thickness. Pearls are matched into strands, pairs, and lots. High-value pearls receive independent certification. All treatments are documented and disclosed on every invoice.
